Houston based commercial contract glazier seeking highly qualified individuals for the role of glazier foreman. Years of experience is a plus, but less important than a proven track record and ability to pass written, verbal, and hands-on tests demonstrating comprehensive industry knowledge. Currently hiring for two positions.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a complete and thorough knowledge of commercial glazing systems, including but not limited to the following: 
  • Functional understanding of Curtain wall, Storefront, Window Wall, and commercial pre-glazed windows, including fabrication steps and installation procedures, such as proper waterproofing, water control, and dry line locations.
  • Thorough understanding of commercial door hardware function, installation, adjustments and service.
  • Proficiency in field measures and layout, with a thorough understanding of benchmarks and control lines.
  • Proficiency in plan reading, including architectural and structural drawings, shop drawings, and system details.
  • Proven ability to lead crews on commercial projects, including daily safety/task briefings, detailed daily reports, AHAs, PPE compliance, and daily site cleanup.
  • Strong communication skills and coordination with site superintendents and other GC personnel.
  • Working knowledge of construction safety requirements

Other Requirements:
  • OSHA 30
  • MEWP, Swing stage, Forklift certs
  • Valid Driver License
  • Pass a background check

This full-time position includes competitive wages, paid time off, and 401k with company match. The majority of work is within the greater Houston area, with some travel. Projects include K-12, Higher Education, Federal / Military, Medical, and Local Government. Pay is scaled according to experience, qualifications, references, and the ability to demonstrate functional knowledge. $30-$40/hour

Successful candidates will be required to hold OSHA30, MEWP, Telehandler, and other certifications. Candidates are expected to possess and maintain basic tools and PPE. Applicants are encouraged to provide trade references and a list of past projects in which a leadership role was held.
